What Are Security Agencies?
Security agencies are organized groups responsible for protecting citizens and ensuring the safety of our country. These agencies consist of individuals with specialized training and skills to address different safety needs.
Key Security Agencies
Some of the key security agencies in Nigeria includes:
1. The Police Force
The police force plays a crucial role in maintaining law and order. They help by:
- Enforcing laws and ensuring that everyone follows the rules.
- Protecting citizens from criminal activities and maintaining public safety.
- Assisting in emergencies, such as accidents or when someone is lost.
2. The Military
The military serves as the nation’s defense force. Their responsibilities include:
- Protecting the country from external threats and potential harm.
- Assisting in national emergencies, such as natural disasters.
- Participating in peacekeeping missions both domestically and internationally.
3. The Fire Service
The fire service is responsible for handling fire-related emergencies. They help by:
