Understanding Drugs
Drugs are substances that can change how our body works. They can be natural (from plants) or synthetic (human-made).

- Synthetic drugs: These are man-made drugs, such as painkillers.
- Natural drugs: These are drugs derived from plants, such as herbs.
Difference between Medicine and Hard Drugs
- Medicine: Medicine helps us get better when we’re sick. It’s given by doctors. Some examples of medicine include painkillers, malaria drugs, supplements, drugs for colds and coughs, etc.
- Hard Drugs: These are harmful and can make people sick. They are not given by doctors. Some examples of hard drugs include cocaine, heroin, marijuana, crystal meth, codeine, tramadol, Indian hemp, crack coke, etc.
