Living Things
Living things are all around us. They are things that are alive and have certain characteristics that make them different from non-living things.
What are Living Things?
Living things are things that are alive. That means they can grow, move, breathe, and need food and water to survive. Some examples of living things include plants, animals, and humans.
Living Things in the School
The school is a great place to find examples of living things. Some of the living things you might see in the school include:

- Grass
- Birds
- Insects
- Classmates
- Teachers
- Spiders
Living Things at Home
Your home is also filled with living things. Some examples of living things you might find at home include:
- Pets (like dogs, cats, or birds)
- Plants in your garden or pots
- Family members
