Hi, young learners! Welcome back to Primary 1 Christian Religion Studies. In our previous lesson, we learned about The Significance of Christmas – Remembering Jesus. Today, we’re going to learn about Ways of Protection – How God Protects Us.
Objectives
By the end of this lesson, you should be able to: * Understand and identify various ways in which God protects us. * Recite the memory verse.
Ways of Protection
God protects us in many ways, just like a loving parent cares for their child. Some of the ways God protects us include:
- Guardian Angels: God sends angels to watch over and protect us from harm (Psalm 91:11). These angels are like special messengers who keep us safe.
- Strength and Courage: God gives us strength and courage to face challenges and difficulties (Isaiah 41:10). He helps us to be brave and overcome any obstacles we might encounter.
- Guidance: God guides our steps and helps us make wise decisions (Proverbs 3:5-6). He gives us direction and helps us to choose the right path.
- Comfort: God comforts us in times of sadness or fear (Psalm 23:4). He is always there to offer us comfort and support when we need it most.
- Love: God’s love surrounds and protects us, showing us that we are cared for (Romans 8:38-39). His love is like a big, warm hug that keeps us safe and secure.
- Provision: God provides for our needs, ensuring we have what we require (Matthew 6:26-27). He makes sure that we have everything we need to live a happy and healthy life.
- Safety: God keeps us safe from dangers we may not even be aware of (Psalm 121:7-8). He watches over us and protects us from harm, even when we don’t realize it.
- Salvation: God offers us the greatest protection by saving us from the consequences of sin (John 3:16). He offers us forgiveness and a new life with Him, which is the greatest protection of all.
