Hello, young learners! Welcome back to Primary 2 Cultural And Creative Arts. In our previous lesson, we learned about Story Telling. Today, we’re going to learn about the formation of a story.
Objectives
By the end of this lesson, you should be able to:
- Understand the basic structure of a story and identify its beginning, middle, and end.
- Show appreciation for the process of creating a story and express interest in story formation.
- Construct a simple story using the learned story structure.
- Collaborate with peers in story creation and sharing.
Story Telling – Formation Of Story
Every good story has three main parts: the beginning, the middle, and the end.
What is the beginning, middle, and end of a story?
The beginning introduces the characters and setting. This is where we learn who the story is about and where it takes place. The middle is where the main events happen. This is the part of the story where the characters face challenges and make decisions. The end is where the story concludes. This is where we learn what happens to the characters and how the story resolves. This structure helps the story make sense and keeps it interesting.
Evaluation Questions
Now that you’ve learned about the formation of a story, let’s see if you can answer these questions:
- What are the three parts of a story?
- What happens in the middle of a story?
- Why is it important for a story to have an ending?
- Can you think of a story you know and tell us about its beginning, middle, and end? 5. Can you think of a story you know and tell us about its characters and setting?
