Risk Factors In Food
What is a Risk Factor? (make this a h4 heading)
A risk factor is something that can increase your chance of getting sick. In the context of food, risk factors can include harmful bacteria, chemicals, or other substances that can make us sick if we eat them. It’s important to choose what we eat carefully to keep our bodies healthy.
Safe Eating Habits
There are many ways to avoid eating foods with risk factors. Some of these include:
- Washing your hands before eating: This helps to remove germs that can make you sick.
- Washing fruits and vegetables before eating: This helps to remove dirt and bacteria that can be on the surface of the food.
- Cooking food thoroughly: This kills harmful bacteria that can be in the food.
- Storing food properly: This helps to prevent bacteria from growing on the food.
- Avoiding eating food that has been left out for too long: This is because bacteria can grow quickly on food that has been left out at room temperature.
