What is a Computer?
A computer is an electronic device that can store, process, and retrieve information. It can perform calculations, display images, play music, and much more.
The Major Parts of a Computer
There are many parts of a computer, but some of the most important ones include:
- Monitor: The monitor is like a television screen that shows you what the computer is doing. It displays text, images, and videos. You can see the information you are working on, the games you are playing, and the websites you are visiting on the monitor.
- Keyboard: The keyboard is used to type letters, numbers, and symbols into the computer. It’s like a typewriter, but it has more keys and special keys for different functions. You use the keyboard to write emails, create documents, search the internet, and play games.
- Mouse: The mouse is a small device that you use to control the cursor on the computer screen. It has buttons that you can click to select things, open programs, and navigate through different menus. You can use the mouse to move the cursor around, click on icons, drag and drop files, and scroll through web pages.
Evaluation Questions
