What are characters in a story book?
Characters in a story book are the people, animals, or creatures that perform actions and have roles in the story. They can be main characters who the story is mostly about or supporting characters who help tell the main character’s story.
Meaning of characters in a story book
Characters are the heart of a story. They are the ones who make the story come alive. They can be good or bad, funny or serious, brave or cowardly. They can be humans, animals, or even imaginary creatures.
Some of the main types of characters include:
- Protagonist: The main character of the story, often the hero or heroine.
- Antagonist: The character who opposes the protagonist, often the villain.
- Supporting Characters: Characters who help the protagonist or antagonist, but are not the main focus of the story.
STORY TITLE: BUZZ
In the garden, a little bee named Buzz learned he was afraid to fly high. His friend, Lily the ladybug, showed him how by fluttering up with courage. “See? It’s fun!” she laughed. Buzz tried, flapping his tiny wings, and soon, they were soaring together, high above the flowers. Buzz learned that with a little help and bravery, he could do anything. They spent the day exploring the garden from the sky, happy in their new adventure. Buzz wasn’t afraid anymore.
