Hello, young learners! Welcome back to Primary 2 National Values Education. In our previous lesson, we learned about Safety at Home. Today, we’re going to learn about Safety at School.
Objectives
By the end of this lesson, you should be able to: * Explain the general concept of safety at school. * List safety precautions at school – classroom, playing ground, library.
Safety at School
What is safety at school? Safety at school means being careful to avoid accidents and harm in the school environment.
Safety Precautions at School
There are many ways to stay safe at school, and some of them include: * Walking, Not Running: We should walk calmly and not run in hallways, classrooms, and other school areas. Running can lead to accidents and injuries. * Staying in Designated Areas: Stay in designated areas such as the classroom, the playground, or the cafeteria. Straying into restricted areas can be unsafe. * Listening to Teachers: Listen to teachers and follow their instructions. Teachers are there to keep students safe, so it’s important to pay attention and follow their guidance. * Using School Supplies Safely: Learn how to use school supplies like scissors, glue, and pencils safely. Explain the risks of mishandling these items to prevent accidents. * Reporting Hazards: Report any hazards or unsafe situations you notice to your teachers or school staff. This can include spills, broken equipment, or anything that might cause harm to yourself or others.
